About Us

Goodwill of Southern New England is a non-profit organization that provides free job training and education programs for people across RI & CT. Supported by the sale of donated items in its thrift stores and online. Last fiscal year, it served a total of 4,315 individuals through its free job-training and education programs. Some key services we provide in RI are:

Career Coaching - Adult Workforce Development Programs
Goodwill provides personalized guidance to help individuals explore career options, acquire necessary skills, and navigate job search and training opportunities. These programs offer services like resume assistance, interview preparation, and guidance on accessing various career training resources. The goal is to empower individuals to make informed career decisions and achieve long-term employment success.

For those living with disabilities - Supported Employment Programs
Goodwill’s supported employment program assists individuals with disabilities with the necessary job preparation and supports to transition to competitive employment and remain successfully employed. The program provides an intense level of job development, job placement, job coaching, intervention, and overall assistance to individuals who will benefit from ongoing staff involvement.

Youth Pre-Employment Transition Services offers education and training for students with disabilities to promote successful transition from high school to post-secondary education (college) or employment. The program is for students ages 14-22 who have an IEP, 504 Plan, or documented barrier to employment.
