BankNewport is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie Thompson as vice president, senior credit analyst. In this role, Thompson will work with commercial loan officers to assess the creditworthiness of clients by analyzing financial statements and related documentation for the preparation of credit approval memorandums.
Thompson brings over 30 years of commercial loan experience to her new role, most recently serving as a commercial loan underwriter and portfolio manager at HarborOne Bank. She previously held similar roles at Citizens Financial Group and Bank of America.
A Rhode Island native, Thompson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She resides in Barrington.
