BankNewport Promotes Trang Smith to Vice President, Retail Lending Systems Manager

BankNewport is pleased to announce that Trang Smith has been promoted to vice president, retail lending systems manager.  

Smith joined BankNewport in 2022, most recently serving as assistant vice president, retail lending systems manager.  She is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s retail lending systems, including Encompass, Blend, Desktop Underwriter, and several other integral platforms that support the Bank’s residential lending operations, and plays a vital role in the secondary market area and investor loan sales. Her extensive mortgage background and system management expertise ensure operational efficiency and superior customer service across the retail lending division.
 
Smith is a graduate of Bryant College with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications.
 
Active in her community, Smith serves as a board member at Bearcroft Swim and Tennis Club. She volunteers her time with several local youth sports teams and is a resident of Attleboro, MA.
