BankNewport is pleased to announce that Dan Bigbee has been named vice president, Information Technology manager. In this role, he will oversee the overall operations of BankNewport’s IT infrastructure, assuring the efficient, secure, and seamless delivery of IT services and support. Bigbee will also be responsible for providing ongoing security, availability, and integrity of the Bank’s cloud and on-premises networks and systems.
Dan brings more than two decades of IT leadership experience to BankNewport, most recently serving as senior Information Technology infrastructure manager at Ocean State Job Lot in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Prior to that he was director of Information Technology at Medtech Ambulance in Pawtucket.
A graduate of New England Tech in Warwick, Dan earned an associate’s degree in computer systems and networking. He resides in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, with his family.
