Assistant Payroll Manager

Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Assistant Payroll Manager, Payroll Office. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.

The individual will supervise the daily operations and functions of a payroll office including, but not limited to, internal payroll, payroll accounting, payroll distribution and payroll adjustments.

Required qualifications:                                                                                                                                                            

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two (2) years of professional experience within a payroll environment as well as demonstrated training and/or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll principles and processing
  • Attentiveness to detail and accuracy are imperative
  • Ability to manage confidential material
 Preferred qualifications:     
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a college or university setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Bilingual
