Technical Assistance Specialist II, Early Intervention

Rhode Island College invites applicants for the positions of Technical Assistance Specialist II, Early Intervention. This is a full-time, calendar year, grant-funded, temporary position that is renewable contingent upon funding position.

The Paul V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities at Rhode Island College invites applications for a Technical Assistance Specialist, Early Intervention II. This role will join an established team of Early Intervention project staff to support RI’s Early Intervention Agencies, providers, and the children and families they serve. Individuals in this position collaborate with the Early Intervention Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator and with the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services to conduct ongoing needs assessments, provide targeted technical assistance, and professional development to individuals who work in Early Intervention and other related programs.

Required qualifications:

  • Graduate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Family Studies, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience as an Early Intervention service provider, parent consultant, or other related position and a minimum of
  • A minimum of 3 years as a Training and Technical Assistance Specialist.
 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Life experience with individuals with disabilities and/or their families.
  • Experience in implementing Early Childhood evaluation and assessment tools.
  • Experience developing and implementing learning management systems.
