Rhode Island College invites applicants or the position of Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Information Systems (1-Year Limited). This is a full-time, academic year, 1-year limited position.

Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) is a dynamic growing department that offers majors in computer information systems, computer science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. We work very closely with the exciting new Institute of Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.

The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) offers majors in Computer Science (B.A and B.S) and computer information systems (B.S) plus minors in cs, cis, cybersecurity, data analytics, and web development. We are an active, engaged faculty with diverse research and teaching interests.

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience teaching at the college/university level.
  • Industry experience in IS/IT and/or software development.
  • Interest in teaching and researching primarily in information systems and one or more of the following or related areas: data analytics/science, computer networking, cloud computing, computer programming/software development and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to teach in-person, hybrid and online courses.
